Sisterly Love

I don't know if I mentioned this on the blog, but about two weeks ago James had to go back to the hospital with a respiratory infection. He's doing fine now, but his sisters have been worried and are going to great lengths to ensure that he is a happy and healthy baby. This is one of their latest attempts at making him happy. An entire gallery of Hello Kitty pictures above his bassinet. If you look closely you can see that the tape that holds them up is in the shape of a cross. It's supposed to be a red cross, because my little Clara Bartons are setting up their own domestic disaster recovery unit right here in our house. They are thoroughly convinced that their intensive regimen of dances, songs, bad jokes and Hello Kitty pictures has helped the patient turn the corner and start down the road to recovery. Maybe they are right.

  1. Awwwwww.... they must love their baby brother so much!! I'm so glad to hear James is okay now. That must have been such a scare!

I named Clara after Clara Barton. I've had an endless obsession with her from the time I was very young.

  2. I think its verycool that you named Clara after Clara Barton.

It was scary when James got sick. He's so little. He's almost two months old now and he's still newborn sized.

  3. Hope he's doing better. Sick babies are scary, aren't they? Very sweet that his older sisters are ready to "nurse" him back to health:)

  4. Thanks! He is doing better now. I just hope flu season goes well this year. I don't think my nerves can handle any more episodes like this.

  5. Poor James. For the parents' sanity, children should never get sick. Sadly unrealistic hope. My middle just sprained her wrist and all three also have colds (and bad moods). Not a fun season at all, but this too, shall pass. Thanks for inviting me here- I think it is both hilarious and very sweet to see through the eyes of children and for us to marvel at what their hearts lead them to do for those they love.
